FILA’s Nostalgic, Colorful New Lookbook is Here

In recent months, the revival of retro sportswear in both the local and international street wear and fashion scenes has been an exciting thing to watch.

FILA’s cultural significance and loud presence among both sneaker and clothing lovers has made this revival even harder to ignore. Today, the FILA x Treads & Threads lookbook titled FILAmily: THE KIDS is released.

The collaboration between FILA and the local influencers featured in the lookbook came about after Vicky Kan, and designer, creative director, and drummer Dale met. The immediate connection and sharing of ideas between the two birthed the creation of the latest FILA and Treads and Threads lookbook, photographed by Justin Chen.

“When we first met, I asked Dale why he’d decided to work for FILA as its creative director and designer,” explains Vicky Kan, who is the creative director behind FILA’s latest lookbook. “He told me he grew up on FILA and it held a lot of sentimental value to him. As the creative director of FILAmily: THE KIDS, I tried to bring a nostalgic, colourful, and vibrant aesthetic to the forefront of clothing.”

“THE KIDS took it to the playground, and brought their own authenticity and uniqueness to the lookbook. The styling was both an ode to vintage and modern street wear.”
